What software can I use to create web pages?
There is a number of different software packages for creating web sites. By far the most popular package today is Macromedia Dreamweaver. However, Dreamweaver is an industrial strength web development environment. For that reason it comes with a price. For very basic web pages you can use Microsoft Word (Save as HTML), or if you don't mind spending some money, you can purchase
Microsoft FrontPage or Adobe PageMill for under $100. Netscape Composer is included with Netscape Communicator and is free.

How do I get my files onto the web server?
The only way to get your pages onto the server is to FTP them on using an FTP client such as WS_FTP (Windows) or Fetch (Mac). Both of these software titles are free for personal and some small business use. After you have the software downloaded and installed, you will need to configure a shortcut to our server. Use the following info:
Host: www.yourdomain.com
User Name: Your e-mail account user name
Password: Your e-mail account password
Once you are connected you can upload files by dragging them from your local computer, into the window that shows the server.
We are migrating to UNIX based Cobalt servers. This will be completed by the end of 2000, at that time you will be able to use your own domain name as the host name.

How do I transfer an existing domain name?
In order to transfer an existing domain to our server, you need to fill out the
domain change form on Network Solutions web site. After entering your domain name, choose "transfer my Domain Name to another ISP" from the drop menu. After providing the correct e-mail address on the next page, you will be taken to a form with many fields. Under the heading of "Name Server Information" make the following changes:
